A big transparent
tractor was my favorite toy when I was a little girl.
The sense of delight and
gratitude for car designers led me through the process of creation of
new
series I called Alive Car.
Chosen traditional
methods of oil painting with multitude of thin glazes helped to
emphasize the
perfection of varnished car's surfaces and beauty of streamline shapes. Spots
of light on edges gradually transform to sunny shapes sinking in deep
shades. Dramatic expression of an enormous power and
speed in car's eyes was achieved by dynamic diagonal composition, sophisticated
brushstrokes and translucent tints of vivid colors.
When I visit AutoShow I like to contemplate the
way how
colorful rainbow of lights
illuminates brand new models and
turned them into an another, an amazing look in a few seconds. This
cheerful
celebration of novelty I tried to imprint in my paintings. Absence of our usual
environment, details and
reflections offers to concentrate on dialog and mutual relations between human
being and his iron creation, which sometimes looks at us as alive :-)... |
